We are currently working on a fantastic budgeting project in Microsoft Excel. This project expects students to be able to budget correctly using math skills learned in class, apply those skills in an excel spreadsheet in BTE class, and they are even given WAMMY cards where they have an unexpected cost that they have to incorporate into their overall budgeting. The students are enjoying the challenge and doing a great job of incorporating classroom instruction, and BTE instruction into one cohesive project!
Teaching is no simple task! Not only are teachers given the job of engaging & educating a group of students with different learning styles, different backgrounds, and personalities; we must also teach students certain standards by which to hold ourselves accountable.
